You only go forward in the story by winning the Minigames. It does not matter if the first attempt failed. Each minigame is restarted automatically until you win it.

How to play

If you see the following in the game. 屯所→土方の部屋・土方歳三
First, choose the location on the map. (屯所) Then choose the building. (土方の部屋) And finally the person. (土方歳三)
There are points on the card, where two people are on it. Be careful and choose the right person!
The Minigames must be won in the specified difficulty to go ahead in the story.
It is recommendable to create a save from time to time.

You have to hunt the goldfish over the landing net with a hand clapping. The hands are controlled with the left trigger. For clapping press the circle button. It is important to reach 1000 points in the game. If you do not make it at the first try, you have to repeat the game over the card selection.
For the price (goldfish ball), the game must be played on medium (組長).

It is advisable to stand in the middle and to counter the attacks with the right button. When the bar at the bottom left is filled, you can use to make a special attack and reject the beats.

Play here every short story.


Select Kanji's until you find one, which makes the flower red in the upper corner. Use the R button to highlight the kanji. Now look for a second kanji which makes the flower red. Use the R button again to highlight the kanji. The kanji's, which color the flower blue, do not matter.


Now switch between these two until the flower has filled 2x red. Now, the ministory will start. After watching choose the second option to go back.


Now go into bonus........

This is definitely one of the harder VNs; not really for beginners.

 

Just to take note, for the third main game part, all the mini games which requires certain points to get specific rewards have an alternate method to complete. You just need to lose the game three times in a row on the same difficulty and it will give you the particular reward for that difficulty. I could not complete the arranging puzzle game "Omi Yuugi" and resort to letting the timer run out three times in a row.

I agree with cactuarism, I did not enjoy this. If you really can just lose the minigames 3 times in row, that would make this a cake walk. Lost some time on a few horrible minigames, wish I had known that haha.

Thank you for the guide. I have to agree, this game isn't enjoyable. Part one and two were ok, but part 3 was horrible. This game really isn't for beginners. Tips.  Make a few saves as you go and really pay attention with your choices. I was trying to play this along with another game and ending up missing a CG. Keep referring back to the picture guide if unsure, and if struggling with the mini games like others said just start the game do nothing (fail) 3 times and it gives you the required item to carry on and doesn't affect cg's or endings.
