You got a purrty mouth....

I watch movies from all over. My top 5 would be

1. The Shining
2. Oldby
3. Alien
4. Mullholland Drive
5. Anchorman

For those that liked Oldboy or the Revenge Trilogy check out Thirst (directed by Oldboy director) and I Saw the Devil (staring the guy who played Oldboy).

I've also seen Hard Candy, pretty funny to me. Usually ultra violence is funny to me. I'll watch anything Takashi Miike directs (Visitor Q and Gozu were fucking strange). I've seen all of shoe's list and as much as I hate to admit it, most are really good.

The Shining? Knowing you, you probably mean the Steven Weber version.

M has a chilling opening scene but it doesn't actually show anything. It is amazing how a movie that old can still be that powerful. I guess it is because it deals with a subject that will always touch people's emotions.

well the trick is that the old movies weren't so graphic and let your imagination do the rest. what was jaws so scary? you didn't actually see the shark till the end. and in psycho you never actually see anyone get stabbed.

now the movies just feel the need to go overboard with guts and gore etc.

the best movies don't need that.

Amen

I have a buddy that loves Ichi the Killer. I prefer Ichi and scratchy.
I stay in to many old hotels to get into horror flicks. I have a hard enough time sleeping some nights. LOL

Right now Breaking Bad. I haven't seen Dexter yet so I guess I'm really late.

You should check it out. It's a really awesome show. Fluffy would agree... :D

I'm watching the last season of Smallville at the moment. One of my favorite TV shows. Too bad it's over. :(
I wish they would make another season of Lost. That'd be awesome.

I could never get into Lost. I tried it for like a season and a half and I just got frustrated because they were never going to tell us what was going on...

You should really give it a try. It's one of the best shows ever made IMO.....although I was very very very disappointed with the end.

I need to catch up with Breaking Bad, everyone seems to love it. Glad to finally see Mad Men on Netflix streaming, will start that once I am done with Reno 911, which is fucking genius.

I also forgot about Hard Candy, that was a messed up movie lol.

How was Hard Candy? I had meant to watch it back when it came out, but did not. Probably need to rent it.

My wife and I love Breaking Bad and Justified. We need to watch the current seasons of both. We started them then got distracted with other shows.

Last movies I saw in theaters was "Prometheus". Last movie I watched at home was "Snatch"

Last TV was finishing "Game of Thrones" season 2 (haven't read the books, but the wife has).

^ This was a cool movie, quite different. But, I'm a huge fan of Robert Downey, Jr, so I'm a bit biased. :)

I thought she was semi attractive, but what happens at the end of episode 4 wtih her... (trying to not spoil anything for anyone going to watch it). That completely made me unattracted to her. Now the actress that play Margaery Tyrell....

I am going to see Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter tonight (probably).
Do I expect an amazing, thought provoking move: No.
Do I except to see real cool action sequences, decapitations, gore, violence and possibly some nudity: Yes
