Step 1

The first thing you should do is start the tutorial campaign, This well teach you the controls and the mechanics of the game. It will also net you your first trophy Let the Battle Begin

Step 2:

Now that you know the basics it's time to start the English Campaign, Difficulty Does Not effect trophies so you may as well set it to easy. When you finish the 1st story battle you should begin to grind your troops to level 5 using the side missions, and also recuit the following troops: 1 more calvary units, 3 peasant infantry units, and 3 archer peasants getting them all to at least level 5. While grinding your troops you should also go for the "Invincible" trophy.


Now that you have the Invincible trophy and leveled your troops up you should continue to complete the campaign while still gaining levels and gold for you troops (Gold is used to buy upgrades for your troops).. The reason why I say grind early because you need to get at least 1 Knight, calvary, infantry, and archer unit to level 10. If you don't grind you units levels up you will miss out on the 4 missable trophies. By the end of the campaign you should also have all 5 of the kill trophies.

Step 3:

Now start the French Campaign. It is much shorter than the English Campaign with only 10 chapters, And this time you will not have to grind your troops level up (Unless you missed any of them in your first campaign).

Step 4:

Online. There are 3 online trophies and they can be achieved very quickly. The three online trophies are "Best 2 of 3", "Best 3 of 5" and "Tactician", You will need a Bossting Partner for these trophies as the online is dead. for more information on how to get these trophies see below.




Tips & Strategies
First off go ahead and do the Tutorial from the New Campaign Menu. You will learn the basic tactitics and how to perform different manuevers. Here are some general rules for the campaign battles remember:

1. Archers are your friends and will decimate troops early while your infantry can finish them off. Bring in the archers to the front line to attack early and then move them behind the infantry to continue supporting the attack. If the enemy has very large shields the archers are not effective;

2. Calvary will lose to infantry with spears, but if you have basic infantry attack from the front then bring in the calvary to help support the infantry;

3. At the start of the battle do not move forwards for a few second until you see exactly what the enemy is going to do. The story chapters will have a mini video at the beginning to explain the coming battle and will include a clue as to what the enemy will do in the next battle;

4. After the first chapter of each campaign you can now begin to branch off from the main story chapters and begin to perform side missions. Best part about the side missions are that you can repeat them and can be completed within 1-2 minutes. The side missions are good for leveling up your troops and earning gold which leads to the all important #5;

5. Grind, Grind, Grind- do this early and equip your army with the best weapons and armor and also recruit plenty of peasants and peasant archers early. After the second, and third chapters you will earn the ability to upgrade the units (example infantry: peasants->light infantry->heavy infantry->Man-at-arms). When your unit levels up or deals out a large amount of damage during the battle they earn Skill Points. Use these skill points in the Army Camp menu to teach each unit some new skills and weapons skills.

Tutorial Campaign


Let the Battle Begin
Complete The Tutorial

This should be your first trophy in the game, as the tutorial campaign will show you the controls and how the game works. You should have no trouble in beating the tutorial as it is very linear and only takes about 20 minutes.


English Campaign
If you follow my road-map you will get all of these trophies under the section It is also the most time consuming step.


For God and King
Win first battle as English

The first battle is very simple, rout the French peasant units. Move your archers to the front and unload on the French peasants early to thin their numbers. When the French peasants are close to your archers, move the infantry forward for the kill. The battle is won when either all of the French units are dead or are in full retreat. After the battle you will unlock 2 side missions and begin the early grind now so the rest of the campaign is easy.




The First Step
Recruit first troop

You will get this trophy fairly soon into your first campaign. To recruit a Unit simply go to the army camp and press , and then pick what type of unit you want, as soon as you have brought your first unit, this trophy will pop up.




10 Heads are Better than One
Recruit 10 Units

You just need to Recruit 10 units, They can be of any type. You will get this trophy while going for the "Power in Numbers" which requires you to Recruit 20 Units.

The "max" number of units you can recruit is 20. To recruit units to your army you need to press while in the "Army camp", You will also need a lot of gold to recruit all 20 units so I would advise using tip #4 of the tips and Strategies section to get all the gold you will need.
While going for this trophy you should get the "First Steps" and "10 heads are better than one" trophies.




Serf
Kill 500 Troops

When you command one your units to attack the enemy the engagement will result in two ways regarding the enemies' outcome: 1. the unit is routed, or 2. the unit is killed. You will know when you are successfully killing troops when a blue skull (for infantry) or blue horseshoe (for calvary). The souls arising from the opposing sides' units are successful kills. At the end of the battle the results screen will indicate how many kills you have at the end of the battle. Getting 500 is not hard and from each battle you will receive around 100-250 kills. Even if the enemy is retreating you can still attack and kill the retreating units.

It may sound like a lot, but trust me you will get this trophy before you finish the first campaign (but don't worry if you don't). The kills will be tracked and carried over between your campaigns, and you will have killed well over 10,000 troops across both campaigns.

Master Strategist
Win a level with all unit types

To get this trophy you will need to win a level with a unit from each unit type. There are only four unit types in the whole game they are...

Archer/Crossbowmen
Infantry
Knights (are actuary dismounted Mounted units, You Dismount then by going to the camp and select "Dismount")
Mounted Unit

You will get access to all the unit types in the last quarter of the English campaign. Then simply pick a level you can beat and make sure one of each unit type is present on the map when you deploy your troops and then simply win the map, as soon as you have won, the trophy will pop up.

While playing though the Campaigns your units will get EXP based on the amount of damage they deal to enemy Units. The reason this and the other trophies related to it are missable is because if you fly though the campaign you will not get enough EXP to reach Level 10 so your units levels won't be high enough.

If you did the grinding early in the game you should have enough EXP to at least get one unit of each type up to level 10, but if you get to chapter 16 (The last Mission of the English Campaign) and are missing any of these trophies, don't worry as there are side missions available to grind the level up to level 10. (By the time I reached Chapter 16 my highest units were level 14+)




Glory to the English
Win the English campaign

You will get this trophy once you have beaten the last mission for the English campaign. The English campaign is made up of 16 battles/missions which you will have to complete, the trophy will pop up after you have completed the last mission and during the ending cut-scene.

If you ever get stuck on any of the battles just play a few of the side missions to level up your units to get them stronger and also to get more gold to buy them better armor and weapons. Also check out the tips and strategics section for some tips.

French Campaign

If you have been following my road-map then you should the the majority of the trophies by now. In this Campaign you should just be concentrating on beating all the main missions, you may need to grind you units levels up to get past certain main Missions but at least you won't have to spend as much time as in the English Campaign grinding. If you didn't get the "King" trophy (kill 10,000 enemies) Then you will get it during this play-though as the kills are tracked across all your campaigns.




For the Fleur de Lis
Win the first battle as French

Very simple trophy just win you first Battle as the French




Defender of the Crown
Win the French campaign

You will get this trophy once you have beaten the last mission for the French campaign. The French campaign is made up of 10 battles/missions which you will have to complete, the trophy will pop up after you have completed the last mission and during the ending cut-scene.

If you ever get stuck on any of the battles just play a few of the side missions to level up your units to get them stronger and also to get more gold to buy them better armor and weapons. Also check out the tips and strategics section for some tips.



Skirmish Mode

For these trophies you are going to want to pick skirmish mode, here you can make custom battles, and make custom armies.




Conquer the Playgrounds
Win a Sandbox Match

Sandbox matches can be found under the "Skirmish Mode" section on the Main menu. You only need to win 1 battle so just pick anyone of the map and win it and this trophy will pop up as soon as the match ends.




All Around the World
Get a unit into each corner of the screen

Very simple to do, just move a unit into each corner of the map at the same time, You can get this trophy during the campaigns but it is much easier to do during this step.

I would recommend getting this trophy while going for the "The Cavalry is here" Trophy, instead of killing the enemy straight away send you calvary to the edges of the map and then send a unit to stand in each corner, Also make sure you keep your units away from the enemy, if you stay away from them they will just stand still.




March to Victory

Use this strategy to win levels with only one specific type of unit:

Go into Skirmish mode and amend an army unit. I suggest changing a small army, as these are easier to control.
Disband all units, except for your General, and then recruit new units, making sure that the units you recruit are all the same type (Mounted, Ranged, Knights or Infantry).
Once your army is made up of one General and the rest all the same type of unit, save the army and then start a Short Tug of War match. Set the match to Easy (this is done by changing pressing ) and then select the small custom army you have just made.

Start the match and play through the first battle. Set on Easy, the enemy should only consist of 3 units, which you should easily make short work of.
Once you complete the battle, the trophy for the unit type you select will appear (i.e. If you used all archers, then the Ranged trophy will pop).
Once you have the trophy, quit out of the Short Tug of War battle and go back and amend your custom army. Once again disband all units and then purchase the specific units for the next trophy.


Online Trophies

This is the last step to the platinum trophy, for this you will need a boosting partner as the online is dead.

A very quick and easy way to get the Short & Long tug of war trophies is to..

1. Create a game, and get both you and your boosting partner into the same game.
2.When the first battle starts one of you should press start and select "Forfeit battle", The other player will get the win and the game will move onto the next battle, with both players still connected to each other.
3.Do the same thing again and you will get your 2 wins to get the short tug of war trophy, or if you are going for the Long tug of war trophy do it once more to get your 3 wins for the Long tug Of war trophy.

By doing it this way it will only take 20 minutes for both players to get both of the tug of war trophies.





Tactician
Complete a flanking maneuever

To get this trophy you have to attack an enemy unit from the side or from behind with one of your units. Unfortunately this trophy will only unlock when playing online, But it's they easy to do though just have one of your units engage the enemy from the front and have a second unit move around the back and attack, as soon as the second unit engages the trophy will pop up.




Best 2 of 3
Win a Short Tug of War

This is one of the online trophies, but don't worry it is very quick and easy to get.

A short tug of war is a game type, it is basically a best of 3 game, you will need to win 2 matches out of the 3 for this trophy.

You will find that the online is a ghost town, but that just means it's easier to find your boosting partner.

See above for a quick and easy way to get this and the long tug of war trophies.




Best 3 of 5
Win a Long Tug of War

This is one of the online trophies, but don't worry it is very quick and easy to get.

A long tug of war is a game type, and is basically the same as a short tug of war match but instead of being a best of 3 it is a best of 5, so you will need to win 3 matches out of the 5 to get this trophy.

See above for a quick and easy way to get this and the short tug of war trophies.



The Platinum

You have successfully unlocked all of the trophies

This trophy will unlock after you have collected all of the other trophies for the game.

It says 20 is the max but I think its 16 because that is the count i am at


EDIT: Just to add some of the Skirmishes when you need to defeat the enemy as one type is pretty hard. I noticed something that really helps out though. When I had to do the mounted type I kept getting destroyed because i was always weak against the 3 enemies. So instead of an army of 7 I went in with an army of 4 who were able to be much much higher levels since I distributed the levels between 3 troops rather than 6.


When I went into battle with 4 people, the enemy only has 2 instead of 3. I put my weak level 1 general on one of the bad guys to keep him busy and let my other 3 level 10 troops destroy 1 of the enemies and then worked on the other one when they defeated him.
